AirRoad's Executive Management Team
Managing Director - Malcolm Thorpe has been leading the team of AirRoad since early 2008 applying his expert knowledge and experience of 30 years in the road/line haul transport industry. Malcolm has taken the helm from one of the original co-founders of AirRoad, Tim Paine to build upon the past successful 19+ years of transport and distribution on a national level. Malcolm lends his past business experience from a successful interstate line haul company he started in 1995, of which continues today as part of AirRoad.
Malcolm is supported by a team of executives:-
Group General Manager – Kieren Neill joined AirRoad in 2006 having worked in the industry since 1986. Kieren has brought an enormous wealth of knowledge and application of business administration supporting strategic and operations alignment. Kieren's strong passion for continuous improvement continues to lead AirRoad in the direction of applying best practice in every department.
NSW State Manager – Jan Egan first joined AirRoad in 1989 and has contributed to the growth of the company during this time. Jan used her extensive knowledge to continue the pursuit of excellence in areas of Customer Support; Client Services; Distribution; and recently Logistics. Jan further supports AirRoad as a director of the company guiding in corporate processes.
Chief Financial Officer - Kathleen Hester (MBA/AICD/BaB) is responsible for Finance, Billing, Human Resources and Payroll. Joining AirRoad in 2008, Kathleen brings over 10 years experience in full function financial management and project management across the transport and logistics sector.
General Manager/State Manager QLD - Geoff Dixon has been with AirRoad since 1989 heading up the distribution side of the company throughout Australia now currently in Queensland. Geoff’s knowledge and ability to get jobs done is second to none with a focus on business growth as part of his role.
Group Human Resources Manager – Wendy Westbrook (AHRI/IRS/BaPBS) joined AirRoad in early 2008 enhancing the then current processes and identifying best practice throughout AirRoad in relation to the HR Framework. Wendy’s previous experience in a range of Greenfield and established environments lends to a fresh approach throughout AirRoad.
Group IT Manager – Lionel Rodrigues joined AirRoad in 1998 and has led the team from a relatively small operation to ensure systems meet the demanding needs of a growing company now 3 times its original size. Specialised tracking and billing systems form part of Lionel’s normal operating day.
Supporting AirRoad on the front line are a number of managers and staff having been with the company for a number of years and those freshly appointed.
