October 15 2011, Fremantle, WA: AirRoad’s WA Branch Manager, Daniel Pustkuchen was presented with the prestigious‘TWUSUPER Future Leaders Award’ by the WA Road Transport Association at a special awards ceremony held to celebrate its centenary.
Daniel has always been passionate about better and increased training in the road transport industry. He says, “We all have an obligation to train people and support them and show them the right way, especially with safety”. In his days as Operations Manager, he was successful in implementing a dynamic freight handling system that significantly reduced risk to his team’s health and safety, while almost entirely eliminating freight product damage.
Daniel began working for AirRoad, as an eighteen year old, to support his studies. By 2006, he had already been through half a dozen peak seasons in express transport, specialised transport and warehouse logistics operations. As a team player, he soon won the respect of his colleagues and partners, while catching the eye of senior management through his contributions to quality agendas and considered analysis of statistics. He was soon promoted to WA Operations Manager and is currently Branch Manager.
We wish Daniel all the very best on this remarkable achievement.
