Please note that we are currently experiencing national delays due to the scarcity of linehaul resources and an increase in freight volumes in the lead up to Christmas.
Due to the recent flooding and damage to rail line, goods bound for WA are currently being transported via road freight, resulting in unprecedented demand. (The rail line is expected to remain closed till the end of the year.) As a result, the price of contract carriage into WA has increased significantly. Moreover, existing interstate carriers are also focusing on this route, leading to further depletion of linehaul services available nationally.
We anticipate significant delays between now and mid-January. Please note that we are continuing to run our routine interstate services from our depots, which is not enough to cope with the current surge in freight volumes. We therefore kindly request your cooperation and patience in the lead up to Christmas.
