1 February 2022: Delays in Alice Springs due to flooding

Update 15 February 2022

Please note that floodwaters between Adelaide and Darwin have cleared and goods are traveling as normal. However, there might be minor delays of a few days due to the backlog of freight.

1 February 2022.

Dear Valued Client / Receiver,

Please note that we are currently experiencing delays for all consignments heading to Alice Springs, due to flooding on the Stuart Highway. The Stuart Highway is the main route connecting SA to the NT. Our team is continuously monitoring the situation and our vehicles will be back in service once the road has been cleared.

Critical goods/perishables (foodstuff) have been redirected through the NSW/QLD corridor to Threeways, and then to Alice Springs. This diversion has unfortunately increased travel kilometres significantly, and we may pass on any additional costs to the client. Please note that your Client Manager will be in contact if this is the case.

Note that consignments traveling from Adelaide to Darwin have been rerouted via Sydney. This will result in minor delays.

We thank you for your support and will continue to update this section online.

The AirRoad Team.
