25 October 2019: AirRoad will be sponsoring 14 of its Sydney drivers in this year’s Convoy for Kids, on Sunday, 27 October.
This year, all attendees will assemble at Huntingwood and will leave at 8am, proceeding along the Western Sydney region onto Hawkesbury Showground.
The day will be filled with entertainment and activities, free rides for children, face painting, barbecues, an auction, raffle and stalls. For one of AirRoad’s drivers, this will be the 22nd year of participation in this event.
“It is important for us to actively contribute to the communities that we operate within. As a team, we are excited to be supporting several of our drivers in this year’s convoy, which is sure to be a fantastic event filled with fun and laughter for everyone involved” said Malcolm Thorpe, Managing Director of the AirRoad Group.
Drivers and owner-drivers, from all parts of NSW, with their families participate in this great event each year to help raise money for the purchase of equipment for NETS (Neonatal & Paediatric Emergency Transport Service).
Since the commencement of this event in 1992, it has raised more than $2 million for a variety of causes including the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick, NRMA CareFlight and NETS.
